Inspiration for Painting
This is the third painting of my series entitled “Magnificent Animals of the Superior National Forest”.
The wolves of northern Minnesota are a symbol of what really constitutes wilderness, wild, mysterious and free. I thought I would paint a lone 3 year old male wolf that has left his mother and father and the pack of his birth He is ready to establish a pack of his own. It is winter around mid February and this mysterious, misunderstood and by many considered a fearsome creature has a curious companion. This is the third painting of my series. This wolf has a curious companion who doesn’t believe in all the hype and really doesn’t seem to be afraid of the big bad wolf. Hmmm… “Curious”
